Synopsis
Cash: Journey of a Banknote is an eight-episode docu series that follows the journey of two ten-euro banknotes, baptized Romeo and Juliet, as they pass from hand to hand across Italy, telling stories of real life, social differences, and Italians' relationship with money. The series builds a social fresco, alternating stories of wealth and poverty, with the same banknote moving from the hands of a corporate executive to those of a bank robber. The format of the series was acquired by the Canadian distribution company Distraction and was sold abroad under the title Passing the Buck.
